The Varsity screens only have one or two films (if any) in the evenings, until the last two days when they are used throughout the day.Parabolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04711079563067560670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2648426783032403612.post-31026378945629100252008-08-26T14:49:00.000-07:002008-08-26T14:49:00.000-07:00Three screeings for nearly everything was the rule...Three screeings for nearly everything was the rule last year, too. The AMC seems to have taken up the slack for the ROM and the smaller Scotiabank houses that were in the mix last time around.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2648426783032403612.post-60679691625373818682008-08-26T10:13:00.000-07:002008-08-26T10:13:00.000-07:00Hi Darren ... great to visit your blog for another...Hi Darren ... great to visit your blog for another year of TIFF!

I think the AMC results in more screenings overall, but from what I've gone through so far many of my selections only have two.

What really irks me is that some films are 'premium'-only. For example, "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" is a gala, but its only other screening is at the Elgin which I can't use my (expensive) festival pass for! I could have lived with the new Elgin policy if they compensated by having additional, non-premium screenings ... which certainly would have been fair given the additional capacity of using the AMC.Parabolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04711079563067560670noreply@blogger.com
