Ethiopian Dinner, Part 2

I'm going to suggest Monday 9/10 at 7:00-7:30 for a group meal. I know it won't work for everyone (including Girish, right?), but with the Wavelengths programs bunched up on opening weekend, I'm not sure when else we can fit it in.

Here's another suggestion: Last year several of us met for dinner on the last night of the fest, too. It's a very different experience then. As Rob Davis once put it (and I've been quoting him ever since), "I wish there were more movies; that God there are no more movies." It looks like my fest will wrap up with Sad Vacation around 7:30. Anyone who wants to join me for a round or two, leave that spot open.

Yes, I'll be back home in the States on Monday and Tuesday but I'll be spending the other 8 days at the fest and will get plenty of chances to see and hang out with everyone. So pl. don't feel bad about scheduling the dinner at that time.

Monday around 7 or 7:30 sounds great to me, so count me in (Girish, wish you could be there, but I look forward to other opportunities to share in Toronto's good food with you).

Just wrapped up my scheduling and Monday night works for me too. Looking forward to meeting some of you!

Monday, 7:30-ish sounds great to me. I'll probably be late, since I'll be zooming out of Honeydripper's 5:45 showing, but I'll be there. (Girish, I wish you could be there.) Is anyone interested in a late Tuesday lunch or a Tuesday dinner?

Walter, I might be up for lunch or dinner on Tuesday -- that's a fairly light day for me (I've got a couple of last decisions to make before I send my order form back, but I think at least one part of the day will be open). I'll make a note of it and then let you know.

Walter, I'm planning to see Silent Light at 12:15 on Tuesday. It'll let out around 2:30 and then I don't have another film until 6:30. I'll probably spend part of that time in a deep nap and maybe blogging a bit, but I'll definitely be up for a late lunch or early dinner.

I believe I initiated this tradition with the suggestion of an Ethiopian meal a few years ago, so it pains me to have to skip this one, but I'll be in "Four Women" Monday night. Not that I won't be around for most of the fest and totally up for grabbing coffee/food/etc any time!

It appears that I'll be open on Monday evening as well, so I'd love to join the crowd for dinner.

Darren, it's looking more difficult than expected for me to reroute my schedule - I might wind up missing the dinner. Have a good time!

I won't be getting out of The World Unseen until about 7:30 so, unfortunately, need to pass this year.
