NYFF Lineup (2007)

The full lineup for the New York Film Festival has been posted. Here are the films that haven't yet been announced for TIFF, including a documentary from Jia Zhang-ke! (I've sworn off the use of exclamation points in blog posts, but sometimes they're just called for.)

  • Actresses (Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi)
  • The Axe in the Attic (Ed Pincus & Lucia Small)
  • Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (Sidney Lumet)
  • Calle Santa Fe (Carmen Castillo)
  • A Girl Cut In Two, (Claude Chabrol)
  • Go Go Tales (Abel Ferrara)
  • I Just Didn't Do It (Masayuki Suo)
  • The Last Mistress (Catherine Breillat)
  • Married Life (Ira Sachs)
  • Mr. Warmth, The Don Rickles Project (John Landis)

Technically, I beat Indiewire's post by 50 minutes. ;) Anyway, as I mentioned on my post, I'm a little disappointed that Nicolas Klotz's La Question humaine didn't make the list, but am also looking forward to the new Jia.

So these are films we won't see in Toronto, then?

They're films that haven't yet been announced. TIFF's final list will be posted next Tuesday and will likely include several (maybe five or six) of these.
