My first real exposure to avant-garde and experimental cinema was at Wavelengths 2005, so I'm still fairly new to this game. But after attending every Wavelengths screening in '06 and '07, it's become one of the highlights of the fest for me.
Needless to say, I'm thrilled to see some favorite names here: Dorsky, Straub, Gatten, Schupbach, Pryce, and Jennings. And I finally get to see a Benning film! Any opinions on the other filmmakers? Sicinski, I'm lookin' at you.
I'm previewing a lot of the films and posting capsules over at The Hack, so maybe that'll help.
