The Artist!!

THE ARTIST looks like one of those films I get suckered into seeing because of good buzz from Cannes only to discover that they're "crowd pleasers." :)

Darren, are you still making spreadsheets these days? I'd be curious if you have a running list of films likely to end up on your schedule. Anything from this first batch?

I'm eager to see quite a few of these, including four or five of the Galas, which has to be a record for me. But I'll wait to see most of them when they come to Knoxville.

From the first batch, I'm most excited about Melancholia, A Dangerous Method, Shame, and Martha Marcy May Marlene. And after seeing the trailer for Twixt (and finally watching Tetro last night), it's also climbing my list.
